OB3 evaluation report on Digital Communities Wales: Digital Confidence, Health and Well-being published

OB3’s evaluaton report on the Welsh Government’s Digital Communities Wales: Digital Confidence, Health and Well-being programme has now been published.

The programme aims to work with organisations to support citizens and staff to become digitally confident, with a focus on being able to manage and access vital health services.

The evaluation is being undertaken across three key stages to include:

  1. a process evaluation and theory of change

  2. an interim and outcome evaluation

  3. a summative final evaluation

The key aims of this first stage of the evaluation were to:

  • review and summarise existing evidence around the relationship between digital inclusion and health

  • review the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of the programme

  • present a new Theory of Change model for the programme

There are three key themes to the findings from this stage.

  1. Programme design and implementation.

  2. Recruiting participants.

  3. Engaging and support for organisations.

The evaluation offers seven recommendations for the Welsh Government to consider in the delivery of the programme. To see a copy of the full report click here. For a summary of key findings and recommendations click here.
