The Welsh Government has commissioned OB3 Research to evaluate the Transformation Capital Grant programme. This is a capital grant fund, available to Welsh local museums, archives and libraries. to enable them to transform service delivery to offer sustainable, modern, attractive facilities and services.
The fund is managed by the Welsh Government’s Culture and Sport Division and has provided over £5m of capital funding to museums, archives and libraries in Wales since 2017.
The aim of the research is to provide a process evaluation of the Transformation Capital Grant programme. The work will be undertaken between January 2021 and June 2022 with the findings informing the design and delivery of the programme in future.
