Research into assessment practices in the Foundation Phase

OB3 Research is part of the research team, led by Miller Research, currently conducting research into assessment practices in the Foundation Phase. The research intends to examine the overall impact of assessment on teaching and learning. It will explore how practitioners integrate the assessments into their teaching, and how the data is used to monitor pupil progress. It will also consider the effects of the assessment on pupil wellbeing and look to identify barriers to implementation of the online personal assessments and look to highlight good practice.

The research will provide recommendations for future policy decision around assessment in the Foundation Phase.
